On June 4th, Pearl Jam announced that they were going to release every show of their
European tour on two CD-sets. "The tracks will be mixed by Brett Elliason (Pearl
Jam soundman), and will be available August
at www.tenclub.net
and www.pearljam.com
and thereafter in retail stores. Each two-CD set, will
be about $10.98 through the Ten Club. If you choose, you'll be able to purchase
the entire series at once at the regular price; there's no extra discount for
getting them all at once. The in-between song banter of the band will be
included, but Eddie's solo sets before the opening acts will not be a part of
the CD sets.
The
shows that were recorded at festivals, i.e., Pinkpop, Rock im Park, Rock am Ring,
will also be included in the collection. After the North American tour legs are
finished, yes, it is likely that those shows will be made available as well".

poor-quality bootleg, our hope is to provide fans who are currently buying
high-priced bootlegs with an alternative",

In the taping policy posted at their Sony Music Web site, Pearl Jam stipulate
that they allow taping for free trade, but never for sale.

On June 19th, Pearl Jam announced their next single from Binaural, Light Years (a
tribute to a deceased friend of Eddie). "An
Epic spokesperson confirms that the single will go for radio adds beginning July
4, and will see U.S. commercial release on July 18. "Light
Years" will be backed by live versions of "Binaural" album tracks
"Soon Forget" and "Grievance," taped at a May 10 club show
in Bellingham, Wash. The single will be released in the U.K. on July 3 with the
same B-sides.
First single "Nothing
As It Seems" peaked at No. 3 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart
and at No. 10 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks."

Statement from Pearl Jam in Response to
Roskilde Festival Tragedy
Copenhagen, Denmark-This is so painful...I
think we are all waiting for someone to wake us and say it was just a horrible
nightmare.
And
there are absolutely no words to express our anguish in regard to the parents
and loved ones of these precious lives that were lost.
We have not yet been told what actually occurred, but it seemed to be
random and sickeningly quick
it doesn't make sense.
When you agree to play at a festival of
this size and reputation it is impossible to imagine such a heart-wrenching
scenario.
Our lives will never be the same, but we
know that is nothing compared to the grief of the families and friends of those
involved.
It is so tragic ... there are no
words.
