On March 15th,
Pearl Jam announced that their
sixth studio album, Binaural, was
going to be released on May 23th. The
band co-produced the album with Tchad Blake, who has worked on albums by Crowded
House, Los Lobos and Richard Thompson along with partner Mitchell Froom.
That same day, The Rockfords album was released in Japan. The 'Silver Lining' single
had as also
"Flashes", and the unreleased track is titled "Heart in Your
Hands". Pearl Jam publicist Annie Ohayon
announced
on March
17th the
North American tour schedule, as well as an upcoming appearance on the Late Show
With David Letterman on April 12th.
"[Pearl
Jam] got in touch with us a few weeks ago to see if we were interested. I almost blew
it when I misdialed the number for their management company and got an Indian
restaurant and figured that it was, indeed, a prank", Travis
Morrison, singer/guitarist for
the Washington, D.C., group, wrote on the band's Web site. |
