November
2001
On November 8th, Pearl Jam's official site announced that Brad was going
to embark on a special 5-date West Coast Tour. Brad
are: Regan Hagar-- drums (Malfunkshun, Satchel), Shawn Smith--lead vocals,
keyboards (Satchel, Pigeonhed), Mike Berg-- bass (Satchel), Stone Gossard--
guitar (Pearl Jam, Bayleaf), Thaddeus Turner-- guitar, keyboard, bass (Maktub,
The Flava Crystals), Elizabeth Pupo-Walker-- percussion (Tuatara, The Flava
Crystals). On November 24th the postponed All Tomorrow's Parties has been
rescheduled for March 15, 16, and 17 2002. On
November 26th a CD Titled "7 Worlds Collide - Neil Finn &
Friends," was available in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. It features
live tracks from the Neil Finn concerts at the St. James Theatre in Auckland,
New Zealand last April. Eddie appears in "Take A walk, Parting ways, Stuff
and Nonsense, History Never repeats, and I see Red". The DVD and video were
released a few months later in February 2002. During this month as also Eddie
contributed his amazing cover of the Beatles' "You've Got To Hide Your Love
Away" to the soundtrack of I Am Sam. When licensing original Beatles
tracks for the Sean Penn/Michelle Pfeiffer drama I Am Sam proved too
expensive, the film's producers enlisted a contemporary, genre-spanning range of
artists to record cover versions. The resulting soundtrack -- recorded in a
near-miraculous three-week period -- succeeds in bringing the Beatles to a new
generation. The I Am Sam soundtrack was released in January 8th, 2002.
Eddie played Bass (Electric), Drums (Snare), Guitar (Acoustic), Harmonica,
Shaker, Tambourine, and put vocals in it. On November 26th, Brad started
a West Coast Mini-Tour. The first show took place in Portland on November 26th at the
Roseland Theatre.
